Bangladesh Migrants Foundation (BMF) is a prospective initiative from a large group of Repatriate Migrant Workers since 2007; which has been registered from the RJSC, the Government of Peoples Republic of Bangladesh in 2010. “We the Migrants desire to live with Dignity” is the official Slogan of the BMF with what the BMF works to establishing the Rights of Labor Migrants for ensuring the Safe Migration and combating the Human Trafficking in the name of Migration.
The year 2007 was the milestone for the formation of the Bangladesh Migrants Foundation (BMF); where the largest group of Migrant Labors had retuned with bare hand for being suffering as Trafficked Victim from Malaysia. From that time the Migrants raise their voice to get back their money which they spend for going to Malaysia; and establishing their rights for ensuring the safe Migration. Bundle of news related to that revolution had published in different Newspapers and TV Channels, through which the Government had to take initiative to return their money from recruiting Agencies.
The Revolution was done under the great leadership of one of the pioneer Activist in the field of Labor Migration- Joynal Abedin Joy; later on who has been elected as the Chairman of the BMF by the Executive and General Committee of the BMF and the Representatives from the Migrant Workers.
BMF is now working to protect the Rights of Migrant workers, Survivors of Human Trafficking, Arbitration Cases at BMET, Shelter Support for the Survivors, Psychological Counseling, Reintegration through Training and Entrepreneurship Development, Legal Support and others.
