Mr. Joynal Abedin Joy, is one of the leading Activist in the field of Labor Migration, has more than four (4) years of professional experience to work with various national-international organizations and development agencies.
Mr. Joy was the chairman of IMA (International Migrants Alliance) Research Foundation- Bangladesh. After his return from Malaysia in 2007 as survivor of labor trafficking, Mr. Joy became one of the focal person to raise the voice for establishing the rights of migrants and works for ensuring the safe international labor migration.
Under the great leadership of Mr. Joy, a group of returnee migrants (80 groups from Malaysia by Golden Arrow Recruiting Agent) had got the compensation from the Recruiting Agent and since than Mr. Joy became one of the key activist in the field of labor migration which inspire him to establish Bangladesh Migrants Foundation (BMF).
Mr. Joy has the experience to conduct Migrant research and data collection, Baseline Survey, FGD, Report preparation and Publication, Community Mobilization, creation of Network, organizing Press Conferences and event management.
He was also involved in some Development & Research works with Action Aid Bangladesh (AAB) as he was a Research Fellow of AAB. Mr. Joy has the experience to work with IMA- Hong Kong, Winrock International (ACT Program), USAID, IOM (International Organization for Migration), Dan Church Aid (DCA) etc.
